Pet Portrait of the week, and certainly one of my favourite dog portrait commissions of all time is this gorgeous Goldie, Oscar
I’ve had the pleasure of producing two previous portraits of this handsome Golden Retriever, and was touched to be asked in his final days if I could create a final tribute portrait in his memory.
Oscar touched the lives of many people, from all over the world, many of whom followed his adventures on social media.
He was very much loved and he will be sadly missed.
Oscar’s portrait was produced using Faber Castell and Caran D’Ache pencils on Pastemat combining traditional hand drawing and water-colour painting techniques to build up the depth and details.
As a lasting tribute to this very special boy his image has been sprinkled with a little seasonal sparkle and festive magic to create these beautiful Golden Retriever Christmas cards and keepsakes.
