The reference photo for this portrait was an old polaroid from the 1980s … commissioned as a special birthday gift to bring back fond memories of a dearly loved pup from days gone by.

Produced using Faber Castell and Caran D’Ache pencils on Pastemat combining traditional hand drawing and water-colour painting techniques to build up the depth and details.
