01 Mar Tabby Cat Portrait – Asia

Tabby cat Asia has been the subject on my drawing board this week. It has made a refreshing change to be drawing a cat rather than a canine portrait.

Tabby cat Asia and Leonberger Indo were drawn as a matching pair of pet portraits. Sadly Asia passed away shortly after her portrait was commissioned.

This pretty tabby is drawn on dark grey Pastelmat using a foundation of Faber Castell Albretch Durer pencils. I’ve used Faber Castell Polychromos and Caran D’Ache Luminance to build up the detail.
